Hajj Pilgrimage Guide 2027
Everything you need to know about Hajj rituals, Mina Tents, Arafat, Muzdalifah, and the day-by-day journey
Day-by-Day Hajj Journey
The sacred journey of Hajj spans 5-6 days, taking pilgrims through Mina, Arafat, Muzdalifah, and back to Mina for the stoning rituals.
8th Dhul Hijjah
Yawm al-Tarwiyah (Day of Quenching)
Pilgrims enter Ihram and proceed to Mina. Spend the day and night in Mina Tents, performing five prayers (Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, and Fajr).
9th Dhul Hijjah
Yawm al-Arafah (Day of Arafat)
The most important day of Hajj. Pilgrims stand at Arafat from noon to sunset in prayer and supplication, then proceed to Muzdalifah.
10th Dhul Hijjah
Yawm al-Nahr (Day of Sacrifice / Eid al-Adha)
Return to Mina for the first stoning of Jamarat al-Aqabah (largest pillar), animal sacrifice, and shaving/cutting of hair.
11th Dhul Hijjah
First Day of Tashreeq
Stay in Mina and perform stoning of all three Jamarat (small, medium, large) after Dhuhr prayer.
12th Dhul Hijjah
Second Day of Tashreeq
Stone all three Jamarat again after Dhuhr. Pilgrims can leave Mina before sunset or stay for the third day.
13th Dhul Hijjah
Third Day of Tashreeq (Optional)
Optional additional day in Mina. Stone all three Jamarat one more time, then return to Makkah.
Mina Tent Accommodation
Mina is a valley about 8 km from Makkah where pilgrims stay during key Hajj days. Understanding tent zones helps you choose the right package for your needs.
What are Mina Tents?
Mina Tents are fire-resistant, air-conditioned camps in the Mina valley where over 3 million Hajj pilgrims stay during specific days of the pilgrimage. These modern tents are organized into zones based on their distance from the Jamarat (stoning pillars).
